  My word program is not allowing me to remove an unwanted page break. I have tried both methods that is illustrated on the web. But my mouse still does not allow the cursor to highlight the line on the left of the page break. This page break came automatically when I just wished for a line of star symbols not a page break. So what have I done wrong? Why is the removal of a page break so frustrating. I believe it should be a feature that word must fix to make it more user friendly like a click on the toolbar to remove these breaks when they are not needed.

Sometimes when you create a Word document, you end up with an extra blank page at the end of the document that won't go away by pressing delete. This can happen say when you create a table that ends at the bottom margin on the previous page (the page that you wish to be the last page). You can go ahead and try to reformat everything to get it to fit on the page, or you can follow these instructions.

3 Steps total

Step 1: Show paragraph marks.

Turn on the Show/Hide button to reveal paragraph markings. There should be one at the end of the document.

Step 2: Select last paragraph
