The Tidal app launched back in December of 2017, as a TV app that allowed users to access streaming service for both Android and Apple television sets. It is the first music service that offers Hi-Fi sound, Hi-Def music videos as well as curated content by experts, artists and music journalists. In the Home section, you will find recommendations for daily watching as well as music videos, albums, podcasts, live streams, and concerts. You can create your own “My Collection” list, where it is easy to keep all your favorites in one, easy to find location.
While it is not the most popular of the streaming services that you can find, it still has a lot to offer, all packed into one single app. When everything is considered, it is definitely worth a second look.

With Tidal, just like with Pandora and Spotify, you can listen in to Last.fm. To Last.fm, this is known as “scrobbling”. You can even connect your Facebook account to your Tidal account and catch all the playlists and tracks from your friends as well. If your friends are using Spotify, they can even send their playlists to your Tidal.

Tidal has also integrated its services so that it is compatible with CarPlay by Apple and can also control the Sonos speakers as well. This means that you can control your entire sound system without ever having to change apps. They are actually third in line for adding this feature, right behind Spotify and Pandora.

There is also a new Tidal app that can be used to control Amazon Fire TV. It is similar in layout to the Android TV version and can be downloaded for Fire TV as well as Fire TV Stick. On the home screen, you will see all of the highlights of Tidal’s TV content along with your favorites. From there, you can search through more than fifty million titles in order to find exactly what you are looking for, anytime you want it.
